Domains
Buy domains on the platform or connect your own through CNAME; configure DNS and SSL, and understand statuses.
Domains are the addresses that serve your streams. Add a domain in one of two ways: buy it on the platform (DNS is configured automatically) or connect your own through CNAME.
Buy on the platform
In Domains, search by name for an available domain, review the annual and renewal prices, and buy it — the amount is charged from the workspace balance. DNS for purchased domains is configured automatically: there is nothing to do manually, and activation usually takes a few minutes after NS updates.
Benefits of purchased domains:
- no DNS work required;
- unlimited subdomains at no extra cost;
- automatic renewal with a warning 30 days before expiry.
Connect your own domain
Open Add domain → Your domain and enter the domain name (for example, example.com). You can optionally connect a Cloudflare account for automatic DNS management — it is recommended but not required.
Domains with multi-level TLDs (.co.uk, .com.ua) are not currently supported.
DNS records
After adding the domain, the platform displays two CNAME records to create at your registrar:
| Type | Name | Value |
|---|---|---|
| CNAME | your-domain.com | the cnameTarget value from the domain card |
| CNAME | _acme-challenge.your-domain.com | the DCV value from the domain card |
The second record is required to issue an SSL certificate automatically.
Both CNAMEs must use DNS only mode (the gray Cloudflare cloud, without proxying), otherwise SSL validation will fail. An apex domain (without a subdomain) requires Cloudflare or a DNS provider with CNAME flattening.
Cloudflare API token
To connect a Cloudflare account, create a token in Cloudflare Dashboard → My Profile → API Tokens → Create Token, using the “Edit zone DNS” template. Enter the token and account label in the form.
Statuses and verification
A domain moves through DNS → SSL → Active. Main statuses:
- Waiting for DNS / SSL — records are still being checked;
- Active — ready to route traffic;
- Blocked / Blacklisted / Archived — traffic will not run.
The system checks status automatically every 15 seconds while it is waiting. Check now starts a manual check. SSL status and domain health (HEALTHY / DEGRADED / DOWN) are checked separately, with response time.
Only an active domain can carry traffic in a stream. You can attach an inactive domain, but traffic will not run through it until it becomes active. You cannot detach the last domain from a stream: at least one must remain.
